What is Clinical Pilates?

February 22nd, 2013 by admin

Military Road Physiotherapy offers a highly individualised form of Clinical Pilates to focus on the rehabilitation and prevention of target problem areas.

Clinical Pilates is a low impact, dynamic method of exercise focusing on breathing, control and core stability. Using a combination of specific Pilates equipment including allegro reformers, fit balls, rollers, light weights and floor based exercises ensures greater results to rehabilitate patients whilst minimising the risk of injury re-aggravation.

Conditions that Clinical Pilates can assist with include:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Hip and Groin pain
  • Shoulder and knee rehabilitation
  • Chronic back pain

Pilates is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Led by our experienced Physiotherapists and Pilates instructors, our Pilates classes have a maximum of 4 people and personalised to ensure individual attention.

Classes run on a 10 week term basis and cost $395.

Private Health Rebates may be available for patients who purchase a block of ten classes after private consultation with a Physiotherapist to identify a Clinical Pilates treatment program.
